Questions

Income Tax & TDS: common questions

Rules and thresholds change from time to time. We confirm the current position for your business before we act.

What are Form 16 and Form 16A?

Form 16 is the TDS certificate an employer issues for salary. Form 16A is the certificate issued for tax deducted on other payments, such as professional fees, contractor payments or rent. We prepare and issue both after the TDS return is filed.

When is advance tax due?

Advance tax is paid in instalments, generally by 15 June, 15 September, 15 December and 15 March. Not every taxpayer is required to pay it. We work out whether it applies to you and how much to pay.

How often do I need to deposit TDS?

TDS is generally deposited by the 7th of the following month, and TDS returns are filed every quarter. Your compliance calendar will show these dates.
