Questions
GST Compliance: common questions
Rules and thresholds change from time to time. We confirm the current position for your business before we act.
When is GST registration mandatory?
Registration is required once annual turnover crosses the prescribed threshold. In most states, including Karnataka, that is ₹40 lakh for goods and ₹20 lakh for services. Some transactions, such as inter-state supply of services or e-commerce selling, can require registration earlier. Thresholds change, so we confirm the current position for your business.
Which GST returns will I need to file?
Most regular taxpayers file GSTR-1 for outward supplies and GSTR-3B for the summary return, monthly or quarterly depending on the scheme chosen, and an annual return where applicable. We set up the filing schedule that applies to you.
What happens if a GST return is filed late?
Late fees and interest apply under GST law, and repeated non-filing can lead to restrictions. That is why we track each due date in your compliance calendar.
